Disrupt Artist Management Network (DAMN!), is an innovative new venture co-founded by seasoned industry veterans John L. Reese and Craig Duswalt. John L. Reese is an active entrepreneur and innovator in the music, event, festival, rideshare and natural medicine spaces. He is the Co-Founder and CSO of numerous successful enterprises and formerly was the sole owner and CEO of Synergy Global Entertainment, Inc. (SGE), a global event production company and producer of a significant number of the most successful boutique curated music, comedy, lifestyle and touring festivals over the past 20 years and was one of the largest independent event production companies in the United States. Reese’s varied experiences in the music industry career spanning more than 40 year has given him a unique perspective on the needs of consumers and their behaviors as well as artists, fans and venues alike.
By the age of 20, John formed VIP Event Services, which became the third largest peer security management company and event services company in the United States with contracts at over 100 public and private event venues in the U.S. Clients included Guns N Roses, U2, NFL Stadiums, Major Arenas, NASCAR Racetracks and many others, and the company also handled security for Pope John Paul II’s visit to America.
John was the tour manager for Guns N’ Roses, first for their 1989 Los Angeles Coliseum concerts with the Rolling Stones and then the massive Use Your Illusion tours and ultimately to a role as a partner/manager for Big FD Entertainment, representing a number of diverse multi-platinum artists including Guns N’ Roses, Blind Melon, Danzig, Candlebox, The Used and The Stone Roses among many others.
With music producer Ross Robinson, Reese founded I AM Recordings and signed Slipknot, Glassjaw, Amen and The Cure, among other chart-topping bands. In 1997, Reese founded Freeze Artist Management. His artist management roster included numerous multi-platinum artists. He also produced the Curiosa Festival with Robert Smith of The Cure through Freeze Artist Management.

Reese started Synergy Global Entertainment in 2004 and SGE become prolific festival producers, creating, owning, and/or producing/co-producing 54 entertainment festival properties and selling more than 12 million tickets in 15 years with over $350,000,000 in Revenue Since the 2005 launch of the Rockstar Energy Drink Taste of Chaos, which Reese co-founded with Kevin Lyman. The pair teamed up again in 2007 to create the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. Reese co-founded the Identity Festival (United States’ first ever touring electronic music festival), and founded the touring ODDBALL Comedy and Curiosity Festival (Dave Chappelle’s return to live performances). SGE also partnered with artists and brands to create a variety of curated festival experiences, including Knotfest (Slipknot), Lost Lands (Excision), Ohana Festival (Eddie Vedder), Sabroso (The Offspring), Back to The Beach (Travis Barker/John Feldman), Mad Decent Block Party (Diplo), Surf City Blitz (Mike Ness/Roland Sands) and many more.
SGE’s portfolio of productions has included Lost Lands (Your EDM Best Global Festival of 2017 and Noiseporn 2017 Festival of The Year), The Ohana Festival, (Pollstar’s Global Boutique Festival of the Year three times, The Identity Festival (First and only touring EDM Festival) , Rockstar Taste of Chaos, Surf City Blitz, Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, Rockstar Uproar Festival, MUSINK, Desert Uprising, Knotfest, Ozzfest Meets Knotfest, Oddball Comedy and Curiosity Festival, Sabroso, Scallywag, Back to the Beach, Ohana Festival, Camp Anarchy and many more. The pandemic, market conditions and other issues led to Reese deciding to focus on a future in other ventures with a music business twist.
